Resumption of Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church
Dear BSC parishioners,
Fr Anthony, Fr Rusdi and I greet you with the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit. We hope and pray that you are keeping well, staying strong and healthy.
It has been a difficult time for all of us in Singapore as we battled to contain the COVID-19 pandemic in the past three months and more. With the easing of restrictions from the government, we are glad to be able to resume the celebration of public Mass, currently capped at a maximum of 50 parishioners.
We are excited and looking forward to see you all at the celebration of the Eucharist in our parish. However, some of the Mass times have changed to accommodate the measures that have to be put in place to keep everyone safe. With the resumption of mass, the private worship sessions that are held over the weekends will cease.
The Archdiocese of Singapore has developed the Mass Attendance Registration System (MARS), an online portal, to ensure the safety of everyone in church and also to have fair system for the allocation for masses.
We plan to resume mass next week and we will celebrate 5 Masses on weekends at Blessed Sacrament Church to accommodate about 1000 parishioners every month.
Archbishop William Goh’s dispensation of the Sunday obligation remains in force during this time of pandemic. Since we cannot accommodate all parishioners attending Mass over the weekend, His Grace would like all Catholics to have the opportunity to celebrate Mass at least once a month.
How to Register on Mass Attendance Registration System (MARS)?
Before you can attend Mass in BSC, you have to register yourself as a parishioner with BSC on MARS at http://myCatholic.sg . You will need to have an email address and a contact number in order to register.
Please note that you can register at only one parish, and you will not be able to church-hop. We hope you will register yourself with Blessed Sacrament Church if you have been coming to BSC regularly.
On Tues, 14th July at 12pm onwards, you can go to the same online portal to book the Mass in the current month, based on your choice date and time for the Mass you wish to attend.
The first Mass in our parish will be celebrated on Saturday, 18 July 2020 at 6pm.
There will be no weekday mass during this phase of the re-opening plans. The Rite of Sacrament (Confession) will also not be administered yet.
Here is the full schedule of Masses and the gate opening hours:

Information to take note:
- We would like to advise the elderly and vulnerable to continue following the Mass online, to avoid any risk of exposure to the virus.
- Please do not come to church for Mass if you are not feeling well, eg having flu-like symptoms, fever, etc.
- Mass attendees must bring their Photo ID (with barcode) for verification of registration or risk being turned away.
- You will also need a mobile phone for SafeEntry If you do not have a mobile phone, you can ask someone accompanying you to enter your SafeEntry particulars for you.
- After the celebration of the Mass, parishioners should refrain from socialising and leave the church premises as soon as possible.
We know that all this is not exactly ideal. Our parish COVID Task Force is working very hard to put the measures in place for Mass to be resumed. We look forward to your support and cooperation to make this a meaningful and beautiful experience of Jesus and community building.
When we are allowed to have more people gather for the Mass, we will make the relevant changes for your good.
Meanwhile, continue to grow in your faith, by praying with your family, and meditating and sharing on the Word of God. We must not slacken in our spiritual life. The Lord is aware of all that we have to go through and will help us as we keep close to him.
Thank you for your understanding and collaboration, and be assured of our prayers for you.
