There are about 12 parishioners who clean the church once a week. One group of about 6 ladies sweep the floor on Tuesday mornings after the 7am Mass. They also sweep the sanctuary. We also have a smaller group of 3 ladies mopping the pews once a week. This may not necessarily be on a Tuesday. A group of 3 or 4 ladies will mop the Sanctuary on every Friday.
Besides sweeping and mopping, they also remove lots of tissue papers, paper cups and even
sweet wrappers left behind by parishioners especially on Sundays.
They also rearrange the books and hymnals at the pew pockets that are often untidily replaced.
The cleaners comprise of housewives and retirees. Unfortunately, there are no male cleaners.
Cheers to Women Power!
The church gets a general wash-up twice a year. Once before Easter, and once before Christmas.
