What can we offer to God? (Date
Posted : 18/7/2010
)
Well, in Singapore, we can offer the iPad (but probably sold out by now, ooops!) Jokes aside, I think the question posed by Fr Remi in his sermon on 18 July 2010 deserves more thought than meets the mind...
The answer isn't as simple as it seems... The obvious answer is "nothing" since God is the Creator of everything in the first place! Hey, does that mean we just do nothing? But hold on a sec, if I really believe God is the King of Kings, why aren't I cracking my brains to please Him, to learn from Him, or just to be with Him? What do I really believe in then?? Relax and let Fr Remi lead you on a short journey of self-discovery here!

A Real Community of Christ (Date
Posted : 13/6/2010
)
Fr Anthony reminds us of the importance of community living in his sermon delivered on 13 June 2010: Part 1 Part 2
By partaking in the Eucharist, we become one in the mystical Body of Christ and hence, it is not enough to just attend Sunday Mass but to become a real community of brothers and sisters in Christ.
He observed that many come to church as if they were visiting a "petrol station", filling in spiritually and then leaving immediately without. He urged everyone to participate in church activities especially an upcoming gigantic parish retreat at end of the year.
Finally, he hopes that everyone will help to update the parish's database - for more info, email secretariat@bsc.org.sg
