Recent disasters & Humanitarian Aid Fund Date of Event: 25/8/2012
In recent weeks, there have been several natural disasters in the region: typhoons that affect China and Taiwan; floods in Manila, North Korea and Vietnam; and earthquakes in Iran, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Many have died and millions affected by these disasters.
Several Catholic groups from Singapore are responding to the disasters. CHARIS (Caritas Humanitarian Aid & Relief Initiatives, Singapore) is coordinating the Church's response: www.charis-singapore.org
